Are professional pictures on ebay bad?

I work for a truck accessory store and i was recently put in charge of selling parts on eBay. I was noticing that ever since I began pulling pictures off our website (which are professionally done) our sales have come to a stop. Why is this? Do costumers feel like a item with a poor picture is more personal?
