No - it means they put it in a stack with Other applications or maybe they Don't even have a job openong at this time You need to be the one following up You should have asked to speak to a manager & gave it to them & asked their name (if they had a card I'd say ask for it but I Doubt it) So now you should call & ask to speak to the manager, get & write down their name & tell them you submitted your application on whatever day, ask if they're hiring & ask if you can come in for an interview Good Luck! Just remember to be persistent & Don't follow through
