Help with virgin media!!!?

Ive been with virgin media since about 2007 and i have the old black wired modem they give you with my own netgear wireless router, its really slow now, i pay about �23 a month with loyal costumer discount and was wondering how much extra they would charge me to upgrade to their 30mb one im on the 10mb package, or if they could just upgrade my modem and wireless router for free.
