To be honest, and not one people would accept, it is the region they are living in. If you are ever poor in a liberal area with high taxation no amount of hard work will get you ahead. If the economic playing field is flexible there are tons less stereotypes defining a person because they have the chance to define their own persona among any number of people and not limited to one group.
