Why did Borders become terrible when it comes to costumer loyalty?

Okay, in February I ordered Vampire Beaches 2 [because they just had book one and it's recovered book one.]But my book hadn't come yet and they are not giving [or planing to anyways]my money back. I went online and it was ON THE SEARCH MENU thingy when I typed it. Okay, I wait. The date it's supposed to arrive on April 19. No book comes. I call the store. They said to call costumer claim center. I am starting to lose my patience. Is it just me or should I just trade it in for another book cause perhaps the book WON'T come or just check and wait some more?
